Contributions to the
Children's Organ Transplant Association

Contributions to the Children’s Organ Transplant Association are used to assist the organization in their mission to help children and young adults who need or have had a life-saving transplant. Contributions are made with the understanding that COTA has complete control and administration over the use of the donated funds. COTA allocates funds raised in honor of patients to individual families who have a documented financial need directly related to the transplant.

The goal thermometer graphic on online donation pages showing the amount raised in honor of each COTA patient is an approximate total of gifts made to the Children’s Organ Transplant Association in honor of that patient.  The total may not immediately reflect all donations or a current balance, as patient transplant-related expenses may or may not have been reimbursed from this fund.  When the financial needs of patients are met, donations made in their honor are used to help other COTA patients.  COTA's priority is to raise funds for families that would not otherwise be available to help meet transplant-related expenses.
