Correlation with nausea and feeds

Thank you all for your thoughts, prayers, and well-wishes. There is a definitive correlation relative to Alex’s gj feeds/rate and nausea/vomiting/pain. This is a symptom that is common for post-TPIAT patients; however, is also something that can and should be balanced in consideration of quality of life and the fact that each patient is different and unique. The team is pulling back on feeds (rate) this morning and balancing nutrition requirements with lipids and fluids. They are also starting a new nausea medication that is on the market and used with chemotherapy patients. It is given over the course of 3 days, but relief can last up to a month.
Alex is being such a trooper through all of this, and we are all very hopeful. I will of course keep you all updated.
Thank you again for your continued support!!
