Unfortunately Alex had a very rough night last night and woke up the same this morning-nauseous and very painful. We then of course had a very long but interesting day of appointments. Dr. Lin is thinking the gastroparesis (delayed stomach emptying) is possibly playing a major role in Alex’s periodic misery, and would like us to try neuromodulation therapy. Apparently he’s used this technique before very successfully. I am a little excited, very hopeful, and will be ordering a Reliefband tonight in hopes of quick delivery and of course relief for Alex. If it does not provide relief, he will be having a procedure next week to inject the pylorus with Botox again. We would really rather he not be anesthetized again though…
