Day 118 – Cyclosporine

Thanks to cyclosporine, Everett has been having a good hair year! Cyclosporine is an important immunosuppressant drug that prevents his body from rejecting the transplant. The most noticeable (and humorous) side effect is dark hair growth all over Everett’s body.

Many parents are incredibly anxious about the dramatic change in their child’s appearance during this phase (which ends when you stop taking cyclosporine), but we are embracing the milestone! After all, when those tiny black hairs are finally gone and our little towhead reemerges, we will be one step closer to healing.
