Day 156 – Immunosuppressant Stop

During our clinic appointment today, the team shared results from Wednesday’s additional tests. Everett does not have a blood clot or antibodies, so it appears recent damage to red cells and platelets is caused by the Cyclosporine (the main immunosuppressive drug that causes the wolf-boy hair) and the replacement (Tacrolimus) we tried. As of today, we will stop using any of those medications 3 months earlier than expected and increase steroids even more.

Everett’s chubby face and neck may become even more bloated, but hopefully this plan will clear things up quickly and we can begin to wean off steroids again soon! Thanks for your continued support and prayers!
