Lawson – April 16 2018

Although things have been going well since the transplant, in the last few months Lawson has experienced some health issues due to a gut virus and was just recently diagnosed with an iron deficiency. He has already received the first of three blood transfusions and will be prescribed more medicine to add to the existing medication that he doesn’t care much for.
He is currently attending Occupational therapy, Physical therapy, and Speech therapy each week, both, at home and in a Rehabitation center.
Despite the inability to walk at this point, Lawson doesn’t let it keep him from getting around. He can crawl at top speed, enjoys climbing on everything, and has taught himself how to go up and down the stairs. He can now stand for a few seconds on his own and has taken a few steps along the way.
He is content playing with cars, balls, and noisy toys and enjoys watching animated shows and movies.
When he feels good, Lawson is a happy little guy and brightens the day of those around him.
