Porter did great yesterday through the heart cath procedure and recovered well!  He was back to his playful smiley self today!!!!

I received a call today from the Cardiologist who performed the cath yesterday.  The good news is his rejection is ZERO!!!  The not so great news is they damaged his tricuspid valve during the procedure which is why he is having the regurgitation on the right side.  Unfortunately this won’t heal like a cut or a scrape does so all they can do is watch it to make sure it doesn’t get worse.  If it does then they will need to patch it.  As of now they will monitor this via echo. 

Needless to say we’re ecstatic that he’s not rejecting his heart but at the same time we feel like we’ve been punched in the gut.
