Getting dressed~ finally

Oh my~ what a big day for Porter.  Our cardiac surgeon came in and did an ultra sound of Porter’s left side and abdomen.  She didn’t see any fluid accumulating so decided to pull the chest tube and give Porter a break.  Whoo hoo!!!  Our nurse said since the only IV he has now is the broviac in his chest we could put a onsie on him.  Well, needless to say, we didn’t waste anytime after the chest tube was out to start changing him.  However, Porter decided that it would be a good idea to poop first and since our nurse had to run down to her other room, we said we would change lil P’s diaper.  Steve and I changed his diaper and got him dressed in his onesie.  Actually~ we changed him in and out of two onsies and sat him up in the bopy before our nurse came back.  It’s so great to be able to pick him up a little and move him around without being concerned of a chest tube coming out.  We’re hopeful that he won’t need anymore chest tubes but his past history has been that he has been able to go about a week without needing fluid drained.
