Porter has had a busy but good week. I'm so thankful that we were home when we had the snow and ice earlier this week and didn't have to go back and forth to the hospital. Porter seems to have a little cold and has been a bit extra junky with secretions and yesterday gave me a bit of a scare when he got a plug in his trach. Our nurse saved the day and was able to suction out the plug but he was not getting his O2 sats up so we changed out his trach and all was right again. That whole ordeal definitely set him back a little for the day and he needed O2 most of the day. He was back on track by the evening. I took Porter upstairs with Oliver for story time before bed. I layed Porter in bed next to Oliver and he just grinned from ear to ear. It was so sweet.
Porter's hair has really been growing lately. It seems like every morning he wakes up with more hair. We've called him our little tomato~ he grows hair overnight like tomatos ripen overnight! HA!
Porter has done great with PT and OT this week. He hates tummy time but he's putting more weight through his arms and the Physical Therapist said she noticed he has gotten stronger over just a couple days. We'll have lots of time this weekend to do his exercises since it is FREEZING in NC and we won't be wanting to even think about going outside!
