The team here transitioned Porter onto the transport vent to get him ready for his trip on Tuesday!!  So far so good.  It’s a lot noisier than the other home vent he was on so we’ll be glad to get back to that one when we get home.  Porter has found his voice!  He has been cooing on and off all day and is so proud of himself.  It is WONDERFUL to hear his little voice.   Oliver is making his way to NC via some family in Alabama and is having a ball.  He has made very good friends with one of their dogs and really wants to bring her home.  hummm… Oliver~ I think two doggies is enough right now. Steve and our pups are on their way home and Porter and I plan to follow next week.  I’ve already spoken with some folks at UNC and the home health company and they all are working hard to get things set up quickly so we can spend as little time in the hospital as possible.  We love everyone at UNC but we’re ready to be HOME.  I think Houston is trying to get us ready for the transition too because it has been down right COLD and rainy here.  I didn’t think it got this cold in Texas!!
