Evaluation is Scheduled

I just got word a little bit ago that I will go straight to transplant evaluation which will be the week of July 22. Transplant evaluation is basically a week of intense testing to make sure my body is healthy enough for transplant, but not too healthy. They check your lungs, heart, a ton of blood work, and other things like ENT, manometry/barium scans.. etc After evaluation it will take about a week or two to decide if I am ready to be listed or need stuff to work on. The way the list works is you get a score based on your health evaluation and if you get sicker, you move up higher on the list, if you are healthier you are lower on the list. Once you are at the top of the list they said it takes on average a few weeks to be offered lungs.

Everyone is very excited (and I am a little excited too) but my nerves just kicked in and this all became more real, so I’m a little uneasy but I’m trying not to think about what ifs and hoping for the best.
