A typical morning

Alyssa starts her day at 4:30 AM.  First step IV antibiotics, she’s hooked up for about an hour.  After that breathing treatments, and airway clearance.  Her treatment consists of three medications delivered seperately by inhalation through a nebulizer.  During which she wears an inflatable vest that vibrates her chest at a high frequency to help loosen the mucus.  Then it’s time to check her sugar so she can take a handful of pills and drink her breakfast.  The antibiotics make her feel sick so it’s boost and fruit blended into a smoothie.  It’s about 7:30 by the time she’s finished, THREE hours before she can start her day!
