Yesterday, after 79 days Alyssa finally got her PICC line removed.  For me that means not having to get up at 2:30 AM to warm her meds to room temperature. For her it means a lot, she can bathe without help, she doesn’t have to get up at 4:30AM she can sleep until 5:30. For all of us it means not worrying about a central line infection. Her lungs are getting healthier and will hopefully stay that way so she’s ready for the transplant when a liver becomes available.
