What started out as a 1 week hospital stay has turned into a 2 week stay, leaving us with only 3 weeks until we leave for St. Louis. The second week at the hospital revealed that Erin's oxygen levels were fluctuating dramatically some nights, almost requiring a switch to the ICU. Changes were made to her bipap machine and she has been better. On the positive side, Erin has gained some additional weight and her lung function went up to 30%. She is still at a very critical point, but these factors help prepare her to be in the best shape as possible for transplant. Along those lines, Erin will continue on IV antibiotics until we leave for St. Louis, so we don't chance any other infections. We head back to Green Bay tomorrow!
