SET BACK

I pray that you all had a wonderful Thanksgiving with your family and friends.  Even during difficult times we all have so much to be thankful for.  Hana was admitted into the hospital the week before Thanksgiving here in the Nasville area so the doctors in Cincinnati wanted her to have another ERCP, biopsies, and pancreas function test to see if there was any change.  They were kind enough to schedule this procedure while we were on our way to Michigan to see family for the holiday.  While in Michigan, Hana had another flare-up Thanksgiving evening and ended up in the hospital with an elevated lipase.  This was hard for her since the hospital was unfamiliar with her situation and vise versa, but they were great!   It was so nice to finally return home and in our own beds…this was short lived because Hana is now back in the hospital in the Nashville area with pain, nausea, and even higer lipase level.   They just placed the NG tube down in order for her to get the nutrition she needs (which is not the highlight of her day by any means).   We had a transplant date scheduled for December 4th, but that is now on hold for unknown reasons to us. I can see the discouragement and frustration in Hana which as her mother is difficult to see as I feel helpless.
