Our Story

With the cost of a transplant often exceeding $500,000, many transplant families are unable to shoulder the financial burden of such a procedure. The Children’s Organ Transplant Association (COTA) is a national charity dedicated to organizing and guiding communities in raising funds for transplant-related expenses. In Battle Ground, volunteers are raising funds for COTA in honor of transplant patients like local teen, Kaylin.

Kaylin is the daughter of Amy and Corey. Born in 2003, Kaylin was diagnosed with Chronic Kidney Disease shortly after her 13th birthday in May of 2016. The doctors at Seattle Children’s Hospital in Washington have recommended a life-saving kidney transplant. An estimated $60,000 is being raised by Battle Ground volunteers.
