Update 8.30 TEAM MARCUS
Marcus has been working hard everday. He continues to makes strides and efforts in understanding transplant, compliance, and building his mind and body for what the future may with hold. His daily routine as of late has been x-rays at 6 a.m. which he hates but seems to always get the job done. Rounds usually happen around 10 a.m. and that gives us an understanding of the daily plans, also vitals every few hours and Physical Therapy around 1. The improvement with all of these things seems to grow daily and the Transplant Team is very pleased on how far he has came since we arrived last month! Marcus's physcial therapy is the highlight of his day as he is able to get up out of bed and walk around the TICU with Bailey the TICU dog. He enjoys playing fetch with Bailey, basketball, football, and baseball, as you may have guessed. And everytime he walks his lap around the TICU unit the doctors and nurses are always amazed at how strong and passionate he is as the root him on. Marcus does not enjoy wall sits, push-ups, and sit ups as well as blood draws and labs but still seems to grind through them with frustration with his eye on the prize. We are grateful for all of the support we have received and promise to keep working hard. Your thoughts and prayers are always valued and please continue to root on TEAM MARCUS. Now that the COTA ball is rolling we will continue to update you all and stay in touch. Looking ahead, September 11th is the date that we will find out more when it comes to Transplant and what our future looks like.
Again thank you for your continued support, Much love.
