She is continuing to gain weight, and so far everything is looking really encouraging. Her surgeon checked on her today and said that <em>if her numbers stay strong each week<\/em>, the family may even be able to come home <strong>before Christmas<\/strong> \u2014 something they\u2019re holding onto with so much hope.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Addi\u2019s incision is healing beautifully. Her stitches are all internal, and today they were able to remove the medical tape that covered her entire incision because she\u2019s healing so well. Sleeping has been a bit tough for her, possibly from the low-fat diet she\u2019s currently on, so everyone is exhausted \u2014 but pushing through the long days and long nights together. Between the required quarantining and the cold weather keeping them inside, life has been feeling a bit like <em>Groundhog Day<\/em>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Meanwhile, sweet Lainee is working hard on <strong>all four<\/strong> of her top teeth at once, which has made her extra fussy. But when she does smile\u2026 it lights up the whole room and gives everyone the lift they need.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Through everything this family has faced \u2014 the hospital days, the recovery, the exhaustion, the uncertainty \u2014 they are still finding reasons to smile and moments to celebrate.
