It\u2019s been just over two weeks since Aidan received his liver transplant. Every day since has been a mix of gratitude, worry, and waiting. We are deeply thankful that the transplant took place\u2014truly a life-saving gift\u2014and we continue to hope that Aidan\u2019s healing moves in the right direction.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

But we\u2019re not in the clear yet.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

His medical team is closely monitoring him, and right now they\u2019re investigating new concerns that may require another procedure. We\u2019re still waiting on answers\u2014something that\u2019s incredibly difficult as a parent, a family member, or anyone who loves this funny, smart, big-hearted kid.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

One of the hardest parts right now is seeing Aidan not quite himself. His light and laughter are still there\u2014but they\u2019re dimmer than usual. He\u2019s tired. He\u2019s hurting. And he\u2019s still fighting.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
