While most of us are setting New Year’s resolutions to improve our situation \u2014whether it’s shedding a few pounds, boosting our savings, or rekindling connections with friends, Alex’s resolutions must encompass all aspects of his life. A catastrophic illness resets your health, isolates you from social activities, and drains you mentally. The struggle is real. Add the financial strain and family stress, and you begin to understand “catastrophic.” It’s a lot.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

As we consider our aspirations for the coming year, let us extend our resolutions to encompass the broader community. By resolving to reduce one stressor in Alex’s recovery, we not only contribute to his well-being but also encourage a sense of compassion and unity that can inspire positive change in the lives of those facing adversity. In doing so, we embody the true spirit of the New Year\u2014one of empathy, resilience, and shared humanity. Every small act of kindness and support can significantly impact the trajectory of Alex’s Journey.
