He was born healthy &amp; happy with an amazing mom &amp; sister by his side. Around his first birthday his mom noticed he was having a hard time breathing &amp; took him to the hospital. From there they found out that not only did he have RSV, but he has stage 5 kidney failure, End Stage Renal Disease, &amp; NPHP3. Everything drastically changed for their family. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-text-align-center\">Amari needs around the clock care, so his mom eventually had to leave her full-time job to become his fulltime care giver. Hospital stays have become the new normal for them. He has been through multiple surgeries along with living daily with a catheter, feeding tube &amp; nightly dialysis. Thankfully they are surrounded by an amazing support system &amp; he is such a strong boy. Amari loves playing with his toys. His favorite song is \u201cMy Girl\u201d by the temptations. His favorite is his xylophone. He loves to learn &amp; is very smart. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-text-align-center\">Amari&#8217;s family is partnering with The Children\u2019s Organ Transplant Association (COTA) to raise funds in honor of Amari Knight. 100% of the donations raised will be available for a lifetime and will assist with transplant-related expenses, such as treatment, surgeries, and travel back &amp; forth to the hospital.
