{"id":17,"date":"2023-01-22T00:00:00","date_gmt":"2023-01-22T00:00:00","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/cota1.wpengine.com\/cotaforaskarsfight\/2023\/01\/22\/gtube\/"},"modified":"2023-01-22T00:00:00","modified_gmt":"2023-01-22T00:00:00","slug":"gtube","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/cota.org\/cotaforaskarsfight\/2023\/01\/22\/gtube\/","title":{"rendered":"Gtube"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Well since at this moment, &Aring;skar still isn&#8217;t taking any real good amount of food by mouth, it has been decided we move to getting him switched from the NG Tube to the G tube.&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>We have an appointment for Pediatric General Surgery tomorrow afternoon to start the process to schedule his surgery.&nbsp; An appointment the 1st with Gastrointestinal (GI) since thr Gtube is Gastro related and he&#8217;ll need a dr to follow up on that.&nbsp;&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>Once we have an appointment for his gtube surgery, I&#8217;ll let everyone know.&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>The Gtube surgery is a simple one, around 2hrs and not invasive. He&#8217;ll stay overnight to make sure all is well and he handles feeds.
