Eliana has had just one overnight inpatient visit in all of 2024, and we’ve been able to be home together as a family. That sense of normalcy has been a blessing, and we’re holding onto hope that the rest of 2025 brings more of the same.

While there’s no big medical news to report, I wanted to share a glimpse into how Eliana is doing and what’s ahead.

Where We Are in the Journey

We’re still hoping and praying for new and improved treatments for FSGS. That hope is part of the reason we’ve been waiting on the next transplant — always believing a breakthrough might be around the corner.

But even with that hope, we also know this: dialysis is not forever. It’s a bridge, not a destination.

We’re incredibly thankful that Eliana has responded well to peritoneal dialysis, which has given her a level of stability and freedom that not every dialysis patient is fortunate to have. But we also know the risks — we pray we don’t wear out her peritoneum and have to switch to hemodialysis. Our goal is clear: a successful kidney transplant before that becomes necessary.

There are so many factors to consider before her next transplant, and just thinking about it can be overwhelming. The thought of going through the process again — the coordination, the uncertainty, the physical and emotional toll — it’s a lot. It can be hard to even let myself go there. But I know that time is approaching. Soon, I’ll have to shift into that mindset again and push forward, one step at a time.

That said, her nephrology team is expected to begin reviewing her transplant case soon, and that’s a possibility we could be looking at a transplant sometime in the summer of 2026.

A Busy Summer Ahead

On the lighter side — Eliana has a fun, full summer planned! She’s attending several camps, including:

Softball

Theater

Cooking

An overnight camp through CHOA

She’s also looking forward to a special visit with her cousin (and bestie!), which will be a definite highlight of the season. With things being fairly stable Prediksi Bola, there hasn’t been much to update — and honestly, that’s a gift Tang55. But with bigger decisions and potential changes on the horizon, I know there will be more to share soon.

For now, just know that Eliana is stable, we’ve been home together as a family, and we are hopeful for another year of low hospital time and high quality of life Spaceman.

Thank you for continuing to walk with us — for your prayers, your love, and your support.
