Emily has been moved out of the ICU and&nbsp;<\/span><span style=\"color: #000000;\">into a standard room. She is doing quite well; although she&nbsp;<\/span><span style=\"color: #000000;\">will need many months of recovery. This blog will continue&nbsp;<\/span><span style=\"color: #000000;\">to report on her progress for you. Thanks to all for your<\/span><span style=\"color: #000000;\">well wishes for her.&nbsp;<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #000000;\">Team Emily&rsquo;s 2 nd fundraiser was held last Tuesday at&nbsp;<\/span><span style=\"color: #000000;\">the Outback Steakhouse in West Ocean City, MD. It lasted&nbsp;<\/span><span style=\"color: #000000;\">five hours, from 4-9 PM.&nbsp;<\/span><span style=\"color: #000000;\">Our team setup all the activities including; a Chinese&nbsp;<\/span><span style=\"color: #000000;\">Auction, 50\/50 drawing, $10 Mystery Boxes, and delicious&nbsp;<\/span><span style=\"color: #000000;\">cupcakes specially baked by Deserts by Rita, (one&nbsp;<\/span><span style=\"color: #000000;\">cupcake buyer won a $100 gift certificate to a local&nbsp;<\/span><span style=\"color: #000000;\">jeweler). We even sold &ldquo;Duck Race&rdquo; entries!&nbsp;<\/span><span style=\"color: #000000;\">Outback Steakhouse generously donated a percentage&nbsp;<\/span><span style=\"color: #000000;\">of that evening&rsquo;s sales to COTA for Emily&rsquo;s Lungs.<\/span><span style=\"color: #000000;\">Everyone enjoyed the food and games, raising a&nbsp;<\/span><span style=\"color: #000000;\">significant amount of money that night and we have been&nbsp;<\/span><span style=\"color: #000000;\">invited to come back next year to do it all over again.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #000000;\">&nbsp;<\/span><span style=\"color: #000000;\">Our next event will be held on Tuesday, June 13 th.&nbsp;<\/span><span style=\"color: #000000;\">from 6-10 PM at BUXY&rsquo;S SALTY DOG, 28 th. Street at&nbsp;<\/span><span style=\"color: #000000;\">Coastal Highway, Ocean City, MD.&nbsp;<\/span><span style=\"color: #000000;\">There will be live a Jam Session, air guitar contest,&nbsp;<\/span><span style=\"color: #000000;\">great food, happy hour drink prices and all the games that&nbsp;<\/span><span style=\"color: #000000;\">Team Emily is famous for,&nbsp;<\/span><span style=\"color: #000000;\">Remember, all proceeds benefit: COTA, (Childrens&nbsp;<\/span><span style=\"color: #000000;\">Organ Transplant Association), in honor of Emily Sachs,<\/span><span style=\"color: #000000;\">double lung transplant survivor.
