No big updates over the last week, just life happening in the middle of the waiting. Over the weekend we celebrated little brother turning 3, and in just a couple short weeks we\u2019ll be celebrating Evelyn\u2019s birthday too \"\ud83e\udd0d\"<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\"\"<\/figure>\n\n\n\n

As the weather warms up, we\u2019ve been spending more time out in the courtyard. Feeling the sunshine on our faces and the wind in our hair does something good for the soul. It\u2019s a small piece of normal in a place that often doesn\u2019t feel that way. As the days go on, it gets harder not to focus on the waiting\u2026 one more day, one more week, one more month. Checking notes, meds, making sure vitals are done, repeating it all, while quietly wishing for the day everything changes.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

I recently read another transplant mom\u2019s words that have really stayed with me: \u201cone more day waiting, is one more day a parent has with their child alive.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Holding onto that perspective, even on the hardest days \"\ud83e\udd0d\"<\/p>\n\n\n\n
