He has faced multiple medical challenges, including significant GI and liver issues. Ezekiel&#8217;s condition is called Portal Vein Thrombosis (PVT), which occurs when a blood clot forms in the portal vein, the vessel responsible for carrying blood from the digestive organs (such as the stomach, intestines, spleen, and pancreas) to the liver. This vein plays a vital role in transporting nutrients and toxins for processing in the liver. A liver transplant is essential for ensuring that Ezekiel can live a long, healthy life. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>To\u00a0rally around\u00a0Ezekiel through this journey, we have created this\u00a0campaign\u00a0with the Children\u2019s Organ Transplant Association (COTA) to help\u00a0assist with\u00a0transplant-related expenses. We are incredibly grateful for every donation made\u00a0to COTA\u00a0in Ezekiel\u2019s honor and appreciate the outpouring of love and support during this challenging time. COTA is the nation\u2019s only fundraising organization solely dedicated to raising life-saving dollars in honor of transplant-needy children and young adults. 100% of each contribution made to COTA in honor of our patients helps meet transplant-related expenses.
