{"id":37,"date":"2019-04-30T00:00:00","date_gmt":"2019-04-30T00:00:00","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/cota1.wpengine.com\/cotaforezekielb\/2019\/04\/30\/we-are-getting-closer-to-transplant\/"},"modified":"2019-04-30T00:00:00","modified_gmt":"2019-04-30T00:00:00","slug":"we-are-getting-closer-to-transplant","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/cota.org\/cotaforezekielb\/2019\/04\/30\/we-are-getting-closer-to-transplant\/","title":{"rendered":"We are getting closer to transplant!"},"content":{"rendered":"<p class=\"p1\"><span class=\"s1\">Guess what!!!!<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\"><span class=\"s1\">I (Katie) got my official go ahead to give Zeke my kidney! &nbsp;I got some labs drawn at the beginning of April and have been waiting and waiting to hear from my donor team in Cincinnati and FINALLY did! &nbsp;When I first got my labs drawn in January some of my labs were too high and I had 3 months to get them down in order to be able to be his donor. So much fear and guilt went though my mind&hellip;what if I couldn&rsquo;t do it?&hellip;how long would it be until he would get a kidney?&hellip;.what if dialysis stopped working?&hellip;it went on and on. &nbsp;<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\"><span class=\"s1\">But I did it!!! &nbsp;I got my butt into gear and started working out and dieting using a program called the Shaklee 180. &nbsp;I even won $500 worth of free products! &nbsp;Go me!!! &nbsp;I still have a ways to go on my journey to health but I feel so much better now. &nbsp;I knew I always needed to take better care of myself but never put myself first. &nbsp;We are so excited and are so ready for the next step!&nbsp;<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\"><span class=\"s1\">Zeke&rsquo;s team of doctors in Cincinnati are having a big meeting this Friday (May 3rd) to talk about his case and hopefully schedule a date for the BIG DAY! &nbsp;I can&rsquo;t believe it&rsquo;s coming up so soon. &nbsp;They are thinking it will be in June! &nbsp;<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\"><span class=\"s1\">As for our family, we are on the mend of all being sick so please pray that we can all stay healthy! &nbsp;Especially Zeke and I before our surgery! &nbsp;<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\"><span class=\"s1\">I will let you all know when we get the OFFICIAL date!!!!<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\">&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\">&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\">&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\">&nbsp;<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Guess what!!!!
