Operation Replacement Parts and Operation Poop Chute are still going well.<\/span><\/div>\n
Faith went to the ER and was admitted last night. We were able to confirm that she does have a virus. It sucks, but nice when we can quickly figure it out and it’s such an easy thing to deal with. Xray looked amazing, they were able to see gas all the way through the entire bowel down to the rectum, which is very good. Other than the shorter colon her X-ray looks like a normal X-ray, its crazy.<\/span><\/div>\n<\/div>\n

They are still very happy with everything, the plan is to keep her here long enough to make sure she can hydrate on her own but then we can get home again. So maybe today, maybe tomorrow, just see how the day goes. A little bit of a reality check on what a immune compromised persons life is like, how easy it is for something so little to completely knock them down.<\/span><\/div>\n
Her gut is also still in the process of trying to completely wake up from her take down (ostomy reversal), so we just have to remain patient for now and keep going.<\/span><\/div>\n<\/div>\n

I think Faith and I are both in the middle of a complete mental war with ourselves. This surgery has so far been the most uncomfortable and just displacing for both of us. Which is kinda saying something if you know the whole journey we have been on.<\/span><\/div>\n
I think in the past surgeries and situations forced us to get tough, fight, push. We felt like we were constantly battling impossible odds. This surgery didn’t force us to fight what seemed like an impossible and overwhelming fight. But it absolutely left us both feeling uncomfortable and displaced. I am not sure why, I am not sure if its just fear or change (AGAIN – good or bad).<\/span><\/div>\n<\/div>\n
