{"id":209,"date":"2025-06-04T06:15:52","date_gmt":"2025-06-04T06:15:52","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/cota.org\/cotaforfearlessjaxsonsjourney\/?p=209"},"modified":"2025-06-04T06:15:53","modified_gmt":"2025-06-04T06:15:53","slug":"small-wins-big-steps-for-jax","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/cota.org\/cotaforfearlessjaxsonsjourney\/2025\/06\/04\/small-wins-big-steps-for-jax\/","title":{"rendered":"Small Wins, Big Steps For Jax"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p>After 7 hours at the hospital and doctor appointments earlier this week, Jax has some amazing news to share \u2014 his numbers looked great at his appointment, and because of that, he doesn\u2019t have to go back for two whole weeks! \ud83d\ude4c That might sound small, but for Jax&#8217;s family, it\u2019s a breath of fresh air and a sign that things are moving in the right direction.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Even more exciting\u2026 he\u2019s almost done with one of his biggest post-transplant medications. His doctors have been slowly weaning him off cyclosporine, and as of\u00a0<strong>June 23rd<\/strong>, he\u2019ll officially be finished with it! That\u2019s a major milestone in his recovery journey, and we\u2019re all so proud of how far he\u2019s come. \ud83d\udcaa\ud83e\udde1<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>He also had a visit with the eye doctor this week. Because of all the medications, his eyes had to be dilated for a thorough check-up \u2014 but everything looked good! \ud83d\udc41\ufe0f\u2728 Another worry he and his family can set aside, and one more piece of good news to hold onto.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>These little victories mean the world to Jax&#8217;s family. Each one reminds them that healing isn\u2019t always loud \u2014 sometimes it\u2019s these quiet, steady steps that matter most. Thank you to the community and friends\/family for continuing to love, support, and cheer for Fearless Jax through every high and low.
