As noted by Julie Penne on the University of Texas MD Anderson Cancer Center&#8217;s website, &#8220;Day 100 is a milestone that many stem cell transplant recipients circle boldly on their calendars as the turning point in their recovery. The biopsy is done in order to tell how many cells a person has in his\/her bones. The normal rate is 100%. In September of last year, Jax had only 25-30%. His numbers are rising, and the doctors are happy to see the increase.
