I&#8217;m still in dialysis for 4 hours three days a week. I&#8217;m still supporting myself through COTA funds raised in my honor thanks to so many people. Because I&#8217;m still having to live in Pittsburgh, not working, and needing a support person 24\/7 (selflessly provided through my Aunt <a href=\"https:\/\/www.facebook.com\/pam.simboli?__cft__[0]=AZbyblPaBEjpIZQblSItQz9nb4X_3B7Mi5y8Gm2DFBDAMyZ4rnTmpf-UD4fcBNdd0wdOE7IJHBM3HgyxH8RJO_PQuFVIGokhCLzHBhUEIbDkbYOTlMKRsqBoCx-c3gEeyqrXZHnFByLMMMx5wy_CySTvSiaP0OPNOBBxMoZmxeVtrA&amp;__tn__=-]K-R\">Pam Simboli<\/a>, my Mom <a href=\"https:\/\/www.facebook.com\/rickndenise.hare?__cft__[0]=AZbyblPaBEjpIZQblSItQz9nb4X_3B7Mi5y8Gm2DFBDAMyZ4rnTmpf-UD4fcBNdd0wdOE7IJHBM3HgyxH8RJO_PQuFVIGokhCLzHBhUEIbDkbYOTlMKRsqBoCx-c3gEeyqrXZHnFByLMMMx5wy_CySTvSiaP0OPNOBBxMoZmxeVtrA&amp;__tn__=-]K-R\">Denise Lyons Hare<\/a>, and my Dad <a href=\"https:\/\/www.facebook.com\/profile.php?id=61562158711817&amp;__cft__[0]=AZbyblPaBEjpIZQblSItQz9nb4X_3B7Mi5y8Gm2DFBDAMyZ4rnTmpf-UD4fcBNdd0wdOE7IJHBM3HgyxH8RJO_PQuFVIGokhCLzHBhUEIbDkbYOTlMKRsqBoCx-c3gEeyqrXZHnFByLMMMx5wy_CySTvSiaP0OPNOBBxMoZmxeVtrA&amp;__tn__=-]K-R\">Jim Fessler<\/a>), I&#8217;ve used about 2\/3 of the funds. I honestly don&#8217;t know how to express my deepest humbling appreciation for all the people who have, and continue to, rally around me through this.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>My doctors are thrilled with where my health is in preparedness for a strong transplant recovery, and they are just doing everything they can to make sure my call comes as soon as possible. As I&#8217;ve gotten stronger, I&#8217;ve been doing a lot more. I&#8217;m walking a ton! We go to the movies (Project Hail Mary was AMAZING and really did the book justice!), shopping for my ever changing body&#8217;s needs, and we check out new places in the city. Dad and I went to the Flight 93 9\/11 Memorial, and we&#8217;ve gone to a few Pirates games. I&#8217;m meeting up with old friends (love you <a href=\"https:\/\/www.facebook.com\/ryan.pickering.3910?__cft__[0]=AZbyblPaBEjpIZQblSItQz9nb4X_3B7Mi5y8Gm2DFBDAMyZ4rnTmpf-UD4fcBNdd0wdOE7IJHBM3HgyxH8RJO_PQuFVIGokhCLzHBhUEIbDkbYOTlMKRsqBoCx-c3gEeyqrXZHnFByLMMMx5wy_CySTvSiaP0OPNOBBxMoZmxeVtrA&amp;__tn__=-]K-R\">Ryan Pickering<\/a>) and even making new ones.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>It&#8217;s finally starting to feel like my life isn&#8217;t just on pause anymore. I&#8217;m not JUST waiting.
