{"id":20,"date":"2022-11-28T00:00:00","date_gmt":"2022-11-28T00:00:00","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/cota1.wpengine.com\/cotaforfinleystrong\/2022\/11\/28\/finley-strother-update-11-28-2022\/"},"modified":"2022-11-28T00:00:00","modified_gmt":"2022-11-28T00:00:00","slug":"finley-strother-update-11-28-2022","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/cota.org\/cotaforfinleystrong\/2022\/11\/28\/finley-strother-update-11-28-2022\/","title":{"rendered":"Finley Strother Update &#8211; 11-28-2022"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Good Afternoon!<\/p>\n<p>We hope everyone had a great Thanksgiving.&nbsp; Finley was able to see his cousins and enjoyed playing with them.&nbsp; Fins leucine levels have been on the rise the last few weeks.&nbsp; Typically when this happens, we start checking him for any signs of illness.&nbsp; Fin has actually been fine but he&#8217;s also started taking more food my mouth which might be what is causing it to spike.&nbsp; We had his first formula change since August today to start driving his leucine down and allowing him to take more food by mouth.&nbsp; Finley often rejects the bottle and also at times ends up gagging.&nbsp; The last few weeks we&#8217;ve had to use the pump a lot because of him not wanting to take his special formula by mouth.&nbsp; We look forward to post transplant when he will no longer have to take the special formula and will be able to return to a normal diet.&nbsp; Until then, we keep a smile on our face just like Finley does.&nbsp; Even after all the adversity he has faced, he continues to amaze us with all the things that he conquers daily.&nbsp; As Gramps would say, &#8220;Finley is a Hard Charger&#8221;!&nbsp;&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"\" src=\"https:\/\/cota.org\/uploads\/2516\/images\/Fin%20Xmas.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"574\" height=\"765\" \/><\/p>\n<p>Love,<\/p>\n<p>The Strothers<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Good Afternoon!
