Good and not so good news. Good news\u2026no pneumotosis anymore on x-ray! And she walked a lap for the first time in 2 weeks! She is acting more herself which is so nice to see. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Not so good news\u2026She is still in the Cardiac Intensive Care Unit. Her belly is still distended, she\u2019s having continual GI issues which is causing her pain, and her echo today was NOT reassuring. She has two valves that are leaking more than they were on the previous echos. This could 1) <span style=\"text-decoration: underline\">potentia<\/span>lly mean she is in rejection again (but that can\u2019t be confirmed yet until we do some further tests and ultimately biopsies). It is possible her cath will need to be sooner than tentatively planned because of these things. 2) OR it could mean her heart\u2019s just working too hard right now for other reasons such as fluid overload. We are working these next few days to increase her diuretics and manage her fluid balance. (But increasing her diuretics will negatively impact her kidneys). Everything is such a delicate balance. Then another echo on Wednesday to see if things have improved or not. Antibody tests will be sent tomorrow and all these things together will help us determine if this is most likely another bout of rejection or something else. Thanks for your continual prayers.
