Second Christmas at the hospital down! …and hoping we don’t have too may more of those in the future. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

In spite of everything, the Lord has been kind in giving Ela a few good days.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Christmas Day was quiet and uneventful. Due to the fact that Ela was on precautions (suspected of having some sort of virus) she was not allowed to leave her room. So we made it a movie day. We watched a couple of movies and even FILMED a movie where her stuffed animal Stitch ends up repenting of his sins and returning the cookies he stole from Ela\u2019s tea party \ud83d\ude42 It was an unusual Christmas but it was somewhat fun nonetheless. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

The 26th and 27th were also good days. She got her second (of 5) plasmapheresis treatment. She got, hardly, any pokes. She lost another tooth. And she acted happy and spunky. I was out of commission for a good chunk of that time since I went down with food poisoning so it was, mainly, mom and Ela time. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Weekends are slow at the hospital. The doctors that know her best are gone, there are hardly any activities for the kids, and it is slim pickings at the cafeteria. We miss being with our church family and being with our boys, yet, we\u2019re hopeful that it won\u2019t be too much longer before we get to go back home. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Ela has two plasmapheresis treatments this upcoming week and one more the first full week of January to complete her treatment. She will then have another heart cath that will, Lord willing, confirm that the rejection has been managed, after which we\u2019re hoping to be home bound. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

We\u2019re hoping to make her release special and take her to the movies and \u201cBounce Kraze\u201d (an inflatable castle playground in Lancaster). <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Thanks again for all the prayers and support. We\u2019re grateful for your love and your faithfulness in keeping up with her medical journey. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

PS\u2014Shout out to the best of Aya\u2019s. My madre has been a thoughtful, loving, and caring grandmother to Ela and the boys through all of this. Happy birth day, may God continue to look on you with favor and sustain you with good health for many many more years to come. \u201cSurely, LORD, you bless the righteous; you surround them with your favor as with a shield\u201d (Ps. 5:12). <\/p>\n\n\n\n
