What a year! It\u2019s hard to believe how much has happened, how the trajectory of life has changed.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>This time, Isaac\u2019s heart transplant seemed imminent. A heart had been found\u2014a great match. But the transplant was delayed; the donor became ill, and the risks became too high. Ultimately, the transplant was canceled. It was disappointing and frustrating, and it brought a wave of sadness. But we trust Isaac\u2019s medical team. Their decision to wait for the right circumstances is based on caring and caution. The best possible outcome requires patience.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>In the midst of the uncertainty, we are reminded of the extraordinary generosity of the donor family. Even though this heart wasn\u2019t the right fit for Isaac, their decision to donate was a profound act of kindness. We are incredibly thankful for their willingness to give, knowing how difficult this time must be for them. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>So, Isaac continues to wait.
