It&rsquo;s surreal that yesterday a kidney that was in Skyler&rsquo;s body made its way to sweet Izzy&rsquo;s little body, saving her life.<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<div class=\"o9v6fnle cxmmr5t8 oygrvhab hcukyx3x c1et5uql ii04i59q\">\n<div dir=\"auto\">Nicole dropped Skyler off at the U of U yesterday morning. Unfortunately the U isn&rsquo;t permitting anyone to accompany him due to COVID. Thankfully for Izzy, Primary&rsquo;s had a policy change that same day allowing two parents (instead of just one) to be in the hospital with her, so Brad and I got to both be there.<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<div class=\"o9v6fnle cxmmr5t8 oygrvhab hcukyx3x c1et5uql ii04i59q\">\n<div dir=\"auto\">The transplant itself went very smooth on both Isabel and Skyler&rsquo;s side. The surgeon said Skyler&rsquo;s kidney was beautiful. <span class=\"pq6dq46d tbxw36s4 knj5qynh kvgmc6g5 ditlmg2l oygrvhab nvdbi5me sf5mxxl7 gl3lb2sf hhz5lgdu\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/static.xx.fbcdn.net\/images\/emoji.php\/v9\/t82\/1.5\/16\/263a.png\" alt=\"??\" width=\"16\" height=\"16\" \/><\/span> He has taken good care of his body, choosing on his own around age 12 to not even drink soda. What a huge blessing it has been knowing Isabel was getting a kidney with a healthy history. We are still stunned that as her non-biological brother, he was a match. Skyler always wanted to donate, never even having second thoughts. I love my generous hearted son so much. <span class=\"pq6dq46d tbxw36s4 knj5qynh kvgmc6g5 ditlmg2l oygrvhab nvdbi5me sf5mxxl7 gl3lb2sf hhz5lgdu\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/static.xx.fbcdn.net\/images\/emoji.php\/v9\/tc1\/1.5\/16\/1f495.png\" alt=\"????\" width=\"16\" height=\"16\" \/><\/span><\/div>\n<\/div>\n<div class=\"o9v6fnle cxmmr5t8 oygrvhab hcukyx3x c1et5uql ii04i59q\">\n<div dir=\"auto\">They are both in ICU recovering today. Sky had a rough go post surgery. Anesthesia doesn&rsquo;t agree with him and he couldn&rsquo;t keep anything down last night. <span class=\"pq6dq46d tbxw36s4 knj5qynh kvgmc6g5 ditlmg2l oygrvhab nvdbi5me sf5mxxl7 gl3lb2sf hhz5lgdu\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/static.xx.fbcdn.net\/images\/emoji.php\/v9\/t7b\/1.5\/16\/1f61e.png\" alt=\"????\" width=\"16\" height=\"16\" \/><\/span> Izzy is more herself today, smiling, but still very sleepy. The doctors and nurses here at Primary&rsquo;s are amazing. We are so grateful for them, our family, friends, neighbors. Most of all we thank God for blessing us so abundantly. I don&rsquo;t say that lightly! We feel Him guiding this process every step of the way.
