When Sheila was on her way to the OR, she was so happy and excited, I wanted to cry. She had her hair in pigtails and was sitting up on the hospital bed with a big smle on her face – ready for her new liver!

When she woke up with drains from her tummy and multiple IVs, one from her neck, her mood was much different. After 24 hours, she got an NG tube as well – which was VERY uncomfortable for her.

As her body heals, the doctors are removing her “strings” and she continues to get stronger.
