Since our last post a few things have happen. Jasper had E.coli last week, but has been cleared of it. He ended up back in ICU because of it. He is doing better and back to his third floor where he has his fan club and friends. For the Fourth of July a wonderful nurse made sure Jasper had his own firework show, there are pictures of this. He had a light machine wheeled in, complete with bubbles and all. Britney’s new project has been cleared with the doctors. Babies in Jaspers situation have been treated to survive but not much has been thought about making them live as normal as possible once they are stable. Brit is coming up with a way for Jasper to wear clothes again instead of a hospital gown only. She is also working on a walker he can play in. She has taken the center of a walker out and is working on putting it back together in a way that would benefit Jasper and any other baby in his condition. Think about putting clothes on a baby and getting them ready to play for the day. It takes Jasper half an hour to get set up, not dressed, and ready to exercise or play. Usually by this time he has lost interest, is too tired and has had enough of people touching him all over. Brit is hoping to help find easier ways to get to this point by accommodating Jasper in any way possible. Seeing Jasper in clothes is such a wonderful sight! The things we don’t think about as being a normal part of our day. Thank you for all your support and prayers!
