Did you know that COTA requires families to recruit a fundraising team?<\/strong> They believe that families in these situations have enough on their plates, and shouldn’t be having to focus on these efforts. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

It also adds legitimacy to donation and partnership requests<\/strong>, as it is coming from others who believe in the cause.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

COTA has learned a lot in its 30+ years of serving families.<\/strong> There are specific requirements for how donations are received, specific wording that matches exactly what the IRS requires for anything that gets published, and more.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The beautiful part about all of this is that they provide training and a support team to walk alongside the Fundraising Team, as well as the family.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

We want to give a huge shout-out to our amazing team who volunteered from the beginning!<\/strong> What a blessing to get the ball rolling finally. You may have even received a beautiful thank you card from them or met them at one of our fundraising events.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

But the team needs more help, and a couple of members of our team have had to step back due to other commitments. We are looking to reboot now that we have gotten through the summer.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Current Needs:<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

–A leader who is great with details and galvanizing a team (our current leader is staying on, but feeling like someone with better details management would be helpful)<\/p>\n\n\n\n

–Would you be able to help with event planning<\/strong> (big or small)?<\/p>\n\n\n\n

–Do you have any experience in getting the word out to local news<\/strong> about things happening? <\/p>\n\n\n\n

–Would you be willing to volunteer on the day of an event<\/strong>? <\/p>\n\n\n\n

–How about helping solicit donations<\/strong> for an evening fundraiser?<\/p>\n\n\n\n

–Help with Social Media posting<\/strong>? (Our amazing friend who has created all the beautiful graphics may need to step back due to a time conflict.)<\/p>\n\n\n\n

–Host a Fundraiser through your business<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

–Have a space to host events<\/strong>?<\/p>\n\n\n\n

–Anything we haven’t thought of?<\/p>\n\n\n\n

We meet every other Monday evening via Zoom<\/strong>. Please reach out if you are interested in joining the team, hearing more about the needs, or enlisting friends.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
