{"id":188,"date":"2026-03-06T01:48:02","date_gmt":"2026-03-06T01:48:02","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/cota.org\/cotaforjosiahsheart\/?p=188"},"modified":"2026-03-06T01:48:03","modified_gmt":"2026-03-06T01:48:03","slug":"3-5-2026-update-on-josiah","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/cota.org\/cotaforjosiahsheart\/2026\/03\/06\/3-5-2026-update-on-josiah\/","title":{"rendered":"3\/5\/2026 Update on Josiah"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p>Thank you so much for your prayers!<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Last night was eventful, with lots of blood draws, x-ray, CT scan, but today has been fairly low key.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>They are keeping Josiah another night for monitoring, but overall, they feel he is looking good.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The doctors think he got really dehydrated, so they have lowered the speed of his LVAD a bit, as well as one of his medications.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>They don\u2019t see any issues around his driveline, which is great news. But they are growing cultures just to verify there isn\u2019t any infection.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Unless something crazy happens in the next day, he should be able to go home on Friday. However, anyone who has spent any length of time at a hospital knows that you should always hold loosely to any predictions of when you will be going home.&nbsp;<img decoding=\"async\" alt=\"\ud83d\ude42\" src=\"https:\/\/fonts.gstatic.com\/s\/e\/notoemoji\/17.0\/1f642\/72.png\"><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Thank you so much for your prayers!
