Kadence has been on Dialysis, 3 times each week since March 17th, 2026.
It has been a journey of perplexing proportions, learning this is is not a treatment, it\u2019s sustaining life until Kadence receives a Kidney Transplant.
It is remarkable what these children in this room endure. There really is nothing to fully prepare for this, it\u2019s different for each child but the same process. If I\u2019ve learned anything at all, I\u2019ve learned to hold on tightly to my son and love him with all I have. To him Dialysis is 5 hours of uncertainty not \u201ctime\u201d. His body has been slow to adjust,some days there\u2019s talk of being admitted and others it\u2019s endless laughter, while I sweat it out praying he at an optimal level to get through the rest of his day.
The friendsmily aka family, help keep him smiling, joking, singing, and playing games! This has created one hell of a support system felt by the entire unit.
Those are the days we are reminded that LIVING and Loving each other can get you through the toughest of times.
