Wednesday, he had his labs drawn.&nbsp; One coagulated before it could be read and others put everyone on high alert due to increased Potassium and acidity issues.&nbsp; Needless to say, his team became proactive and consulted with Nephrology.&nbsp; Originally, we were on standby Wednesday night for a possible admission.&nbsp; Luckily, as Randy and I had a double date with Alexis and Ben to go to dinner and the RAIN &#8211; Tribute to the Beatles show.&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; Thursday, he saw the team and had to get more labs and a renal ultrasound. Praise God the labs came back within normal limits.&nbsp; His pulmonary function test was stable and his overall Frailty score had increased.&nbsp; Overall though, Pulmonary Rehab has been a success and he is stronger when compared to previous tests.&nbsp; This news is great and should help him be ready for surgery and rehab easily post transplant.&nbsp; Just when we thought all was good, Keegan woke to a broken GJ tube on Friday.&nbsp; Due to a busy hospital, it required us to be admitted for fluids until they could find him a slot in OR to replace it.&nbsp;&nbsp; Pray hard that Keegan can get some positive needle\/iv experience, so the trauma can be controlled easier.&nbsp; For the first time in his life,&nbsp; he accidentally hurt someone else due to his fear of needles.&nbsp;&nbsp; The tube was replaced late Friday evening and we discharged on Saturday.&nbsp;&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>After an uneventful and restful weekend &#8211; well what was left of it &#8211; he went back to school Monday and Tuesday.&nbsp; Tuesday night, he came home from TaeKwondo not feeling so good.&nbsp; He has tested positive for Flu A.&nbsp; He is enjoying lying around in his room watching Emergency.&nbsp;&nbsp; Prayers the high fevers, cough and blah feeling go away soon.&nbsp;&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>In the meantime, we are gearing up and getting ready to climb the steps at TQL stadium for the Fight For Air Climb.&nbsp; Keegan enjoys the day and can\u2019t wait to see all his firefighter and first responder \u2018friends\u2019!&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-gallery has-nested-images columns-default is-cropped wp-block-gallery-1 is-layout-flex wp-block-gallery-is-layout-flex\"><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-gallery has-nested-images columns-default is-cropped wp-block-gallery-2 is-layout-flex wp-block-gallery-is-layout-flex\"><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-large\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"768\" height=\"1024\" src=\"https:\/\/cota.org\/cotaforkeegan\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/6344\/2024\/07\/IMG_1681-768x1024.jpeg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-87\" srcset=\"https:\/\/cota.org\/cotaforkeegan\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/6344\/2024\/07\/IMG_1681-768x1024.jpeg 768w, https:\/\/cota.org\/cotaforkeegan\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/6344\/2024\/07\/IMG_1681-225x300.jpeg 225w, https:\/\/cota.org\/cotaforkeegan\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/6344\/2024\/07\/IMG_1681-1152x1536.jpeg 1152w, https:\/\/cota.org\/cotaforkeegan\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/6344\/2024\/07\/IMG_1681-1536x2048.jpeg 1536w, https:\/\/cota.org\/cotaforkeegan\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/6344\/2024\/07\/IMG_1681-scaled.jpeg 1920w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 768px) 100vw, 768px\" \/><\/figure>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Last week Keegan was seen by his transplant team for their follow up.&nbsp; It was a crazy period.
