{"id":44,"date":"2023-06-17T22:57:00","date_gmt":"2023-06-17T22:57:00","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/cota.org\/cotaforlilysheart\/?p=44"},"modified":"2024-05-17T22:59:39","modified_gmt":"2024-05-17T22:59:39","slug":"june-17","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/cota.org\/cotaforlilysheart\/2023\/06\/17\/june-17\/","title":{"rendered":"June 17"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p>June 15th marked the three-month date since Lily received her heart.&nbsp; This milestone allows her to be out in public settings and was celebrated by seeing Aladdin at the Denver Performance of Arts.&nbsp; Slowly life is getting \u201cnormal\u201d, but it\u2019s a far cry from where we started roughly a year ago.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Lily\u2019s lab work is consistent and she\u2019s starting to come off some of her medications.&nbsp; The other day she came off a lung pressure medication and so far, her body is dealing well with it.&nbsp; She\u2019s a champ at taking her medication and progressed to swallowing clumps of pills instead of painstakingly one at a time. Her sleep is still a struggle but apparently, it\u2019s a post-transplant thing.&nbsp; There\u2019s still quite a bit of PTSD and we\u2019re working on that.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>We adopted a kitten a couple weeks ago, she\u2019s a cute little thing.&nbsp; The girls just want to tote her around like a doll so I\u2019m trying to instill proper etiquette with them; they\u2019re slow learners thus far.
