On Friday, October 25th 2024 we celebrated Louisa’s first heart anniversary. Louisa had a typical 3 year old day with some added fun. She picked out some special treats for a movie night (Cheez-Its, Sour Patch Kids, M&Ms and strawberries). Then we watched an Octonauts movie that she chose. We helped Louisa light a candle in honor of her donor and their family. We are forever thankful for them for choosing to donate and allowing Louisa a second chance at life. Louisa also worked on stringing her Beads of Courage – each bead signifies an event, procedure, lab draw etc. that Louisa had during her hospital stay last year. She has a lot of beads! <\/p>\n\n\n\n
Louisa has a had quite the year. She started preschool; she says her favorite thing to do at preschool is washing her hands. Have to keep the germs away! We have spent lots of time with family. We recently took a trip to Minnesota and had a ton of fun with family there. This past year Louisa enjoyed trick or treating as a black cat like [our cat] Philip, visiting two different zoos, riding on a carousel for the first time, spending time outside going for walks or going on the swings at the playground, watching CoComelon and playing with her baby dolls. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
We are grateful for the continued support from our families and friends! Louisa is loving life at home! We are looking forward to another great year. <\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
