{"id":101,"date":"2025-10-02T02:07:03","date_gmt":"2025-10-02T02:07:03","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/cota.org\/cotaformac\/?p=101"},"modified":"2025-10-02T02:08:15","modified_gmt":"2025-10-02T02:08:15","slug":"day-9-august-12-2025","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/cota.org\/cotaformac\/2025\/10\/02\/day-9-august-12-2025\/","title":{"rendered":"Day 9 &#8211; August 12, 2025"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p><br>&#8220;Our Father in heaven,<br>May your name be kept holy, May your Kingdom come,<br>May your will be done,<br>On earth as it is in heaven<br>Give us this day our daily bread<br>And forgive us for our trespasses<br>As we forgive those who trespass against us<br>And lead us not into temptation but deliver us from evil&#8221;<br>Mac learned this song to the Bible verse in Matthew this summer &#8211; at Annie Moses summer festival- watchers and teachers remarked he wasn&#8217;t just singing but full worshipping.<br>We opened to this verse as Andy kissed Mac tearfully goodnight tonight and said he&#8217;d see him in a few days. It was so timely . We know what we want, we pray for that full health. Knock and it shall be opened to you.<br>But now it&#8217;s more. It&#8217;s worshipping our God for all He&#8217;s done. If you are sitting in a sad place tonight, feeling God has turned His back, feeling there is no hope. Don&#8217;t give up , your fleshly body may feel like it but sing the song Mac does. There is still hope. When you don&#8217;t know what to pray- pray the Lord&#8217;s Prayer.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><br>Now for specifics<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/fonts.gstatic.com\/s\/e\/notoemoji\/16.0\/1f697\/72.png\" alt=\"\ud83d\ude97\" \/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>My mom and Chris arrived in record time &#8211; thank you Lord for their determined personalities to drive that drive to avoid a commercial flight for us!<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/fonts.gstatic.com\/s\/e\/notoemoji\/16.0\/2764_fe0f\/72.png\" alt=\"\u2764\ufe0f\" \/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>today was the absolute most joyful day we&#8217;ve ever spent in a hospital&#8230; yet! We all got to check in as a fam, explore the unit, check out all the fun areas, garden, and the line of cool beep beeps to ride in (think of 7 different modes of transportation from fire truck to cozy coupe to stage coach)<br>Eddie and Evelyn and Mac had a blast creating fun art too. The team has been so kind and shown God&#8217;s love<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Tomorrow:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Andy checking in 430 cst<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Mac checking in 7 cst<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Andy surgery starts 7&nbsp; cst<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Mac&#8217;s will start around 8 cst<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Mac worshipping Our father in heaven:<br><a href=\"https:\/\/youtube.com\/shorts\/46qhKGCqH-E?si=6H6FqqBTIme_85i6\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" target=\"_blank\">https:\/\/youtube.com\/shorts\/46qhKGCqH-E?si=6H6FqqBTIme_85i6<\/a><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>&#8220;Today is the day the Lord has made let us rejoice and be GLAD in it&#8221;<br>&#8220;Joy comes in the morning&#8221;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>&#8230;(a few hours later)&#8230;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>As of now Andy is currently in surgery and has been in for about 2 hours, Chris got an update about 2 hours ago.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Just got an update<br>10:23 Mac&#8217;s first incision<br>Andy&#8217;s&nbsp; kidney made it over safely and is in Mac&#8217;s OR room<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Praise!!!<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>I got a call from Andy which was nice! He said he only felt pain near incision site and is doing good and he asked me how Mac was. Couldn&#8217;t believe how coherent he was he was just in recovery and Chris wasn&#8217;t even back with him yet or his belongings. Somehow he found a way to find phone!<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Andy&#8217;s former kidney is now Mac&#8217;s &#8211; officially in Mac They only removed the right kidney! There&#8217;s still a few more things to do &#8211; continue to pray it conforms to Mac&#8217;s body and Gods will be done- we know God desires full health and life and we speak this over Mac and his new kidney function amen<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Just got the call that Mac is finishing up surgery. I&#8217;m in complete awe as I&#8217;m waiting to talk to his surgeon. It&#8217;s been 3 hours !<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>If you will all pray for steady breathing for Mac after surgery. I haven&#8217;t heard if he&#8217;s being extubated&nbsp; or intubated and left open to reduce swelling.&nbsp; it&#8217;s&nbsp; just a thing in the past- in the past right , no more.<br>His bipap isn&#8217;t with him currently so just pray for wisdom and reminders for icu&nbsp; team to retrieve it if extubated .<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Just talked to the surgeon( loved that he had his cross displayed) when you have a surgeon that speaks life and God&#8217;s truth like wow God delivered<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Praises &amp; Prayers &amp; Promises<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/fonts.gstatic.com\/s\/e\/notoemoji\/16.0\/1f64f_1f3fb\/72.png\" alt=\"\ud83d\ude4f\ud83c\udffb\" \/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>They closed up Mac, everything fit beautifully! Mac is a smaller guy so pray that everything drains accordingly and every body part settles in comfortably so we can stay closed up for good<br>\u201cFor all the promises of God in Him are Yes, and in Him Amen, to the glory of God through us.\u201d<br>\u202d\u202dII Corinthians\u202c \u202d1\u202c:\u202d20\u202c \u202dNKJV\u202c\u202c<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/fonts.gstatic.com\/s\/e\/notoemoji\/16.0\/1f64f_1f3fb\/72.png\" alt=\"\ud83d\ude4f\ud83c\udffb\" \/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>they are going to extubate him&nbsp; pray for full breaths<br>Romans 8:28, which states &#8220;And we know that all things work together for good to those who love God, to those who are the called according to His purpose<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/fonts.gstatic.com\/s\/e\/notoemoji\/16.0\/1f64f_1f3fb\/72.png\" alt=\"\ud83d\ude4f\ud83c\udffb\" \/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>&nbsp;urine output is good.
