Each one has an important purpose, allowing her team to administer life-saving medications, infusions, fluids, nutrition, draw frequent lab work, and provide everything she needs as they carefully monitor her condition.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">She is being closely monitored for the health of her liver, kidneys, and heart. She is also receiving oxygen support to help ensure her body and vital organs receive the oxygen they need while she heals.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">After numerous ultrasounds, X-rays, and extensive blood work, the medical team discovered that Magnolia has developed hepatic artery stenosis affecting the blood flow to her transplanted liver, reduced heart function, and a bacterial bloodstream infection. These are serious complications, but we are grateful they were identified quickly so treatment could begin immediately.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">One of the hardest parts of these last two days has been watching our sweet girl cry from discomfort and hunger. Because of the nonstop vomiting and diarrhea, her medical team has placed her on strict bowel rest, meaning no food or liquids by mouth. As I write this, Magnolia has gone more than 26 hours without being able to eat or drink anything. As parents, hearing her cry knowing we can\u2019t comfort her with a bottle has been absolutely heartbreaking. We know these restrictions are necessary to give her body the best chance to recover, but that doesn\u2019t make it any easier to watch.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Despite everything she is facing, Magnolia continues to fight with incredible strength. Her team is treating each complication aggressively and watching her every moment as she remains in the PICU.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\" id=\"h-una-tormenta-que-no-vimos-venir\">This journey has reminded us once again that healing is rarely a straight path. There are victories, setbacks, and unexpected turns, but through every single moment, God has never left Magnolia\u2019s side. We continue to believe that He is writing a story far greater than we can see today.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<hr class=\"wp-block-separator has-alpha-channel-opacity\" \/>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Una tormenta que no vimos venir <\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Los \u00faltimos dos d\u00edas nos han tra\u00eddo desaf\u00edos que ninguno de nosotros esperaba, pero aun as\u00ed seguimos confiando en Dios y aferr\u00e1ndonos firmemente a Sus promesas.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Magnolia permanece en la Unidad de Cuidados Intensivos Pedi\u00e1tricos (UCIP), donde est\u00e1 recibiendo atenci\u00f3n las 24 horas del d\u00eda por parte de un incre\u00edble equipo de m\u00e9dicos, enfermeras y especialistas.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Para apoyar a su peque\u00f1o cuerpo, Magnolia tiene actualmente varias v\u00edas intravenosas: una en su pie izquierdo, una en cada brazo y, adem\u00e1s, su l\u00ednea venosa central. Cada una cumple una funci\u00f3n importante, permitiendo que su equipo m\u00e9dico le administre medicamentos que le salvan la vida, infusiones, l\u00edquidos, nutrici\u00f3n, realice an\u00e1lisis de sangre frecuentes y le proporcione todo lo que necesita mientras supervisan cuidadosamente su estado.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Est\u00e1 siendo monitoreada de cerca para evaluar la salud de su h\u00edgado, sus ri\u00f1ones y su coraz\u00f3n. Tambi\u00e9n est\u00e1 recibiendo ox\u00edgeno suplementario para ayudar a garantizar que su cuerpo y sus \u00f3rganos vitales reciban el ox\u00edgeno que necesitan mientras se recupera.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Despu\u00e9s de numerosos ultrasonidos, radiograf\u00edas y extensos an\u00e1lisis de sangre, el equipo m\u00e9dico descubri\u00f3 que Magnolia ha desarrollado una estenosis de la arteria hep\u00e1tica, lo que est\u00e1 afectando el flujo sangu\u00edneo hacia su h\u00edgado trasplantado. Adem\u00e1s, presenta una disminuci\u00f3n en la funci\u00f3n card\u00edaca y una infecci\u00f3n bacteriana en el torrente sangu\u00edneo. Estas son complicaciones graves, pero estamos agradecidos de que hayan sido identificadas r\u00e1pidamente para que el tratamiento pudiera comenzar de inmediato.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Una de las partes m\u00e1s dif\u00edciles de estos \u00faltimos dos d\u00edas ha sido ver a nuestra dulce ni\u00f1a llorar por el malestar y el hambre. Debido a los v\u00f3mitos y la diarrea constantes, su equipo m\u00e9dico la ha puesto en reposo intestinal estricto, lo que significa que no puede recibir alimentos ni l\u00edquidos por v\u00eda oral. Mientras escribo esto, Magnolia lleva m\u00e1s de 26 horas sin poder comer ni beber absolutamente nada. Como padres, escucharla llorar sabiendo que no podemos consolarla con un biber\u00f3n ha sido absolutamente desgarrador. Sabemos que estas restricciones son necesarias para darle a su cuerpo la mejor oportunidad de recuperarse, pero eso no hace que sea m\u00e1s f\u00e1cil presenciarlo.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">A pesar de todo lo que est\u00e1 enfrentando, Magnolia sigue luchando con una fortaleza incre\u00edble. Su equipo m\u00e9dico est\u00e1 tratando cada complicaci\u00f3n de manera intensiva y la vigila en todo momento mientras permanece en la UCIP.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Este camino nos ha recordado una vez m\u00e1s que la sanaci\u00f3n rara vez sigue un camino recto. Hay victorias, retrocesos y giros inesperados, pero en cada uno de esos momentos, Dios nunca ha abandonado a Magnolia.
