Further testing has shown a small area of necrosis, meaning a small portion of the liver tissue has been damaged. While this news is heartbreaking to hear, we are thankful it was identified so her medical team can treat it as aggressively as possible.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The team has also found hepatic artery stenosis, a narrowing of the artery that supplies blood to her transplanted liver. This narrowing is located near the area where the donor liver was surgically connected during her transplant. Because healthy blood flow is so important for a transplanted liver to heal and function, the doctors are monitoring this very closely and carefully determining the best course of treatment.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Right now, Magnolia is surrounded by an incredible team of specialists. Her transplant surgeons, hepatology team, oncology team, and kidney specialists are all working together, reviewing every test, discussing every detail, and making decisions together to give her the best possible care. We are beyond grateful for the collaboration and dedication each of them has shown our little girl.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">This road is not easy, and there are still many unanswered questions. But we know that God has carried Magnolia through every obstacle before this one, and He continues to walk beside her today. Our hope is not in what we can see, but in the One who holds her life in His hands.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">We humbly ask that you continue praying for Magnolia. Please pray that the infection is completely eliminated, that her liver begins to heal, that the area of necrosis does not worsen, that healthy blood flow is restored through her hepatic artery, and that God grants wisdom to every physician caring for her.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<hr class=\"wp-block-separator has-alpha-channel-opacity\" \/>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Durante los \u00faltimos d\u00edas, nuestra dulce Magnolia ha estado enfrentando otra batalla dif\u00edcil.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Los m\u00e9dicos han confirmado que la infecci\u00f3n bacteriana en su sangre tambi\u00e9n ha afectado su h\u00edgado. Estudios adicionales han mostrado una peque\u00f1a \u00e1rea de necrosis, lo que significa que una peque\u00f1a parte del tejido del h\u00edgado ha sufrido da\u00f1o. Aunque es una noticia muy dif\u00edcil de recibir, damos gracias a Dios porque pudieron detectarlo a tiempo para que su equipo m\u00e9dico pueda tratarlo de la manera m\u00e1s agresiva posible.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">El equipo m\u00e9dico tambi\u00e9n encontr\u00f3 una estenosis de la arteria hep\u00e1tica, un estrechamiento de la arteria que lleva sangre al h\u00edgado trasplantado. Este estrechamiento se encuentra cerca del lugar donde el h\u00edgado del donante fue conectado quir\u00fargicamente durante el trasplante. Debido a que un buen flujo sangu\u00edneo es fundamental para que un h\u00edgado trasplantado sane y funcione correctamente, los m\u00e9dicos est\u00e1n monitoreando esta situaci\u00f3n muy de cerca mientras determinan cuidadosamente cu\u00e1l ser\u00e1 el mejor tratamiento.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">En este momento, Magnolia est\u00e1 rodeada de un incre\u00edble equipo de especialistas. Sus cirujanos de trasplante, el equipo de hepatolog\u00eda, el equipo de oncolog\u00eda y los especialistas en ri\u00f1ones est\u00e1n trabajando juntos, revisando cada estudio, analizando cada detalle y tomando decisiones en conjunto para brindarle la mejor atenci\u00f3n posible.
