Today marks 16 days since Magnolia was readmitted to the hospital after going into septic shock. Looking back, it\u2019s hard to put into words how frightening those moments were. Watching your child fight for every breath, seeing so many specialists surrounding her bed leaves a mark on your heart.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
By God\u2019s grace, Magnolia has continued to recover. It hasn\u2019t been an easy road. Her little body has endured so much over these past months from countless procedures, chemotherapy, a liver transplant, infections, and setbacks that have tested every ounce of our faith. Yet through it all, she continues to show us what true strength looks like.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Tomorrow is a day we\u2019ve been praying for, anticipating, and honestly, fearing all at the same time.Tomorrow, Magnolia begins Cycle 6, God willing her very last cycle of chemotherapy.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Those words are filled with so much hope. We are incredibly grateful to be this close to the finish line. There were moments when this day felt so far away, and now, by God\u2019s faithfulness, it is finally here. At the same time, we carry understandable fear into tomorrow.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The last cycle took a tremendous toll on Magnolia\u2019s body. After everything she had already endured, including her liver transplant, her kidneys, heart, and lungs began showing signs that they, too, were struggling. Her body was simply carrying more than anyone should have to bear, especially such a tiny little girl.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
This time, her medical team is keeping her in the hospital longer so they can monitor her closely and catch any changes as early as possible. We are thankful for every doctor, nurse, and specialist who is walking this journey alongside us and watching over Magnolia with such incredible care.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
As we prepare for tomorrow, our prayer is simple:<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n May this final cycle accomplish exactly what it is meant to do. May it destroy every remaining cancer cell while protecting the healthy parts of Magnolia\u2019s body. May her transplanted liver continue to thrive. May her kidneys, heart, and lungs remain strong. May she experience fewer complications and recover more quickly than before.<\/p>\n\n\n\n And above all, may God continue to carry her through this final chapter of treatment, just as He has carried her through every chapter before it.<\/p>\n\n\n\n Thank you to everyone who has prayed, encouraged us, and stood beside our family. Your prayers have meant more than you\u2019ll ever know. Al mirar hacia atr\u00e1s, es dif\u00edcil encontrar las palabras para describir lo aterradores que fueron esos momentos. Ver a tu hija luchar por cada respiraci\u00f3n y ver a tantos especialistas rodeando su cama deja una marca en el coraz\u00f3n.<\/p>\n\n\n\n Por la gracia de Dios, Magnolia ha seguido recuper\u00e1ndose. No ha sido un camino f\u00e1cil. Su peque\u00f1o cuerpo ha soportado much\u00edsimo durante estos \u00faltimos meses: incontables procedimientos, quimioterapia, un trasplante de h\u00edgado, infecciones y complicaciones que han puesto a prueba cada parte de nuestra fe. Sin embargo, en medio de todo, ella contin\u00faa mostr\u00e1ndonos c\u00f3mo se ve la verdadera fortaleza.<\/p>\n\n\n\n Ma\u00f1ana es un d\u00eda por el que hemos estado orando, esperando y, siendo sinceros, tambi\u00e9n temiendo al mismo tiempo. Ma\u00f1ana, si Dios lo permite, Magnolia comenzar\u00e1 el Ciclo 6, su \u00faltimo ciclo de quimioterapia.<\/p>\n\n\n\n Esas palabras est\u00e1n llenas de esperanza. Estamos profundamente agradecidos de haber llegado tan cerca de la meta. Hubo momentos en los que este d\u00eda parec\u00eda estar tan lejos, y ahora, por la fidelidad de Dios, finalmente ha llegado. Al mismo tiempo, tambi\u00e9n enfrentamos el d\u00eda de ma\u00f1ana con un temor muy humano.<\/p>\n\n\n\n El ciclo anterior fue extremadamente duro para el cuerpo de Magnolia. Despu\u00e9s de todo lo que ya hab\u00eda enfrentado, incluyendo su trasplante de h\u00edgado, sus ri\u00f1ones, su coraz\u00f3n y sus pulmones comenzaron a mostrar se\u00f1ales de que ellos tambi\u00e9n estaban luchando. Su peque\u00f1o cuerpo simplemente estaba cargando m\u00e1s de lo que cualquiera deber\u00eda soportar, especialmente una ni\u00f1a tan peque\u00f1a.<\/p>\n\n\n\n Esta vez, su equipo m\u00e9dico la mantendr\u00e1 hospitalizada por m\u00e1s tiempo para poder monitorearla de cerca y detectar cualquier cambio lo antes posible. Estamos profundamente agradecidos por cada m\u00e9dico, enfermero y especialista que est\u00e1 caminando este proceso junto a nosotros y cuidando de Magnolia con tanta dedicaci\u00f3n.<\/p>\n\n\n\n Mientras nos preparamos para ma\u00f1ana, nuestra oraci\u00f3n es sencilla:<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n Que este \u00faltimo ciclo cumpla exactamente el prop\u00f3sito para el cual fue dise\u00f1ado. Que destruya cada c\u00e9lula de c\u00e1ncer que a\u00fan permanezca, mientras protege las partes sanas del cuerpo de Magnolia. Que su h\u00edgado trasplantado contin\u00fae fortaleci\u00e9ndose. Que sus ri\u00f1ones, su coraz\u00f3n y sus pulmones permanezcan fuertes. Que experimente menos complicaciones y que su recuperaci\u00f3n sea m\u00e1s r\u00e1pida que en los ciclos anteriores.<\/p>\n\n\n\n Y, sobre todo, que Dios contin\u00fae sosteni\u00e9ndola durante este \u00faltimo cap\u00edtulo del tratamiento, as\u00ed como la ha sostenido en cada cap\u00edtulo anterior.<\/p>\n\n\n\n Gracias a cada persona que ha orado por nosotros, nos ha animado y ha caminado junto a nuestra familia.
