What a journey these past 3\u00bd months have been. There are no words to fully express the gratitude we feel for every prayer, every message, every person who has supported us, and most importantly, for God carrying Magnolia and our family through every single day.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Our journey isn\u2019t completely over yet. Magnolia will now need bloodwork at least twice a week and will return to Duke in two weeks for a follow-up with her transplant team.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Yesterday, our response for clearance was delayed because the surgical team decided to repeat her liver ultrasound and CT scan. After reviewing the results, we were told that Magnolia will very likely need to return to the Operating Room in the future to correct the blood flow in her liver. For now the surgeons would like her to get further out from her transplant and allow her more time to recover before intervening. The blood flow is currently very narrow, and if it is not corrected, it could potentially lead to liver failure long-term; however, since there is still blood flow, it is not a rush. This allows them to continue monitoring her closely each week before rushing her back.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">While this is not the news we hoped to hear about her new liver, we are trusting her doctors, taking things one day at a time, and placing it all in God\u2019s hands. For now, we are choosing to celebrate the good news.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>MAGNOLIA IS GOING HOME!\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">After 104 days away, our baby girl is finally returning home. We know there are still mountains ahead, but today we are going to pause, breathe, and thank God for bringing us this far.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">One day at a time. <br>One prayer at a time. One blessing at a time.\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Thank you all for continuing to pray for Magnolia. Please keep those prayers coming as we begin this next chapter at home.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<hr class=\"wp-block-separator has-alpha-channel-opacity\" \/>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u00a1Hoy recibimos la maravillosa noticia por la que tanto hemos estado orando: Magnolia ha recibido la autorizaci\u00f3n m\u00e9dica para regresar a CASA!<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Despu\u00e9s de 104 d\u00edas en Durham, \u00a1Magnolia finalmente regresa a casa! Qu\u00e9 jornada han sido estos \u00faltimos 3 meses y medio. No hay palabras suficientes para expresar la gratitud que sentimos por cada oraci\u00f3n, cada mensaje, cada persona que nos ha apoyado y, sobre todo, por Dios, quien ha sostenido a Magnolia y a nuestra familia cada d\u00eda de este proceso.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Nuestro camino a\u00fan no ha terminado por completo. Magnolia necesitar\u00e1 hacerse an\u00e1lisis de sangre al menos dos veces por semana y regresar\u00e1 a Duke en dos semanas para una cita de seguimiento con su equipo de trasplante.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Ayer, la autorizaci\u00f3n para regresar a casa se retras\u00f3 porque el equipo quir\u00fargico decidi\u00f3 repetir el ultrasonido y la tomograf\u00eda de su h\u00edgado. Despu\u00e9s de revisar los resultados, nos informaron que es muy probable que Magnolia tenga que regresar al quir\u00f3fano en el futuro para corregir el flujo sangu\u00edneo de su h\u00edgado. Por ahora, los cirujanos prefieren esperar a que pase m\u00e1s tiempo desde su trasplante y darle la oportunidad de recuperarse un poco m\u00e1s antes de intervenir.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Actualmente, el paso por donde fluye la sangre est\u00e1 muy estrecho y, si no se corrige, a largo plazo podr\u00eda llegar a causar insuficiencia hep\u00e1tica. Sin embargo, como todav\u00eda hay flujo sangu\u00edneo, no se considera una emergencia. Esto les permite continuar monitore\u00e1ndola de cerca cada semana en lugar de apresurarse a llevarla nuevamente al quir\u00f3fano.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Aunque estas no son las noticias que esper\u00e1bamos escuchar sobre su nuevo h\u00edgado, confiamos en sus m\u00e9dicos, seguimos tomando las cosas un d\u00eda a la vez y poniendo todo en las manos de Dios. Por ahora, hemos decidido celebrar las buenas noticias.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>\u00a1MAGNOLIA REGRESA A CASA!<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Despu\u00e9s de 104 d\u00edas lejos, nuestra peque\u00f1a finalmente vuelve a casa.
