Greetings, Supporters of Miranda and the Rockey Family,<\/p>\n\n\n\n
It has been another relatively routine week in Miranda\u2019s journey, with regular visits and therapies. Overall, Miranda has been fairly even-keeled, even in the midst of unexpected escapades, like when her transfer van was rear-ended on the way to a doctor appointment earlier this week. (Everyone was okay, and the appointment was rescheduled\u2013but talk about added stress for Joel and his mom!)<\/p>\n\n\n\n
An exciting victory from the week is that Joel was able to work with Miranda on doing a transfer in their vehicle! Being able to travel in a personal vehicle is a significant accomplishment that could enable Miranda to have access to additional therapies and support her mental health through outings and visits to familiar places. The care team is currently coordinating a potential visit to the Rockeys\u2019 church, based on Miranda\u2019s readiness and the ability to support what she needs during her time there. Please continue to pray that these transfers happen smoothly and that Miranda will have fortitude to build these routines for long-term growth.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Thank you for your prayers for Miranda\u2019s health and personal growth. Please continue to remember Miranda, Joel, Olivia, Nolan, and the care team\u2019s work as you pray.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The team is persisting in the process of seeking approval for Medicaid. Pray for perseverance, clarity, and approval.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
Miranda is still working to build physical strength for everyday tasks, from holding utensils and eating to standing and walking. It is immensely hard work. Please pray for her motivation, determination, and for many little successes.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
Over the past few months, infections and other health complications bring frustrations, stalls, and setbacks in Miranda\u2019s recovery. Pray that she remains healthy, builds strength, and receives nutrition in her body, mind, and whole being.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n
